When Boeing's Model 314 made its appearance, this flying-boat
was the largest civil aircraft in service. Shown above is the Honolulu Clipper,
which crashed into Navy vessel taking it under tow. It was then sunk by
the Navy on November 14, 1945 in the Pacific.
